語学部ディベート大会出場

 語学部で２月２日（日）三島北高校で行われた第９回パーラメンタリーディベート静岡県大会に出場しました。この大会は即興型ディベートで、論題発表後、２０分間の準備時間が与えられ、その後、３人のスピーカーでディベートを行うものです。結果は次の通りです。
　第１試合　政府側　浜松西〇　反対側　静岡東× 　　
THBT it is better for students to go to universities in Tokyo than in non-Tokyo regions in Japan (including Shizuoka!).
　第２試合　政府側　静岡東×　反対側Swing 〇
THBT all states could force their citizens to stay at the country they are currently in when a pandemic occurs.
　第３試合　政府側　静岡東〇　反対側　市立沼津×
THW mandate all stores to completely close for at least 8 hours a day unless they can be operated without human workers.　
　第４試合　政府側　藤枝東〇　反対側　静岡東×
THW ban all use of human cloning technology ( including researches).

より説得力のある立論ができるよう、普段から身の回りで起こることに問題意識を持ち、自分の考えを英語で表現する練習ことの必要性を痛感しました。今年度の大会はこれで終わりますが、積極的に英語でコミュニケーションをとれるよう、目標を持って活動に取り組みたいと思います。
